Are You Sabotaging Yourself?

You come to CrossFit on a regular basis and work hard (really freaking hard). But, you can't seem to recover well and your body hasn't changed much. Sound familiar? If so, I can guarantee that your diet isn't up to par.

What's holding you back? Are you tricking yourself into thinking you are eating healthy by consuming a diet full of paleo pancakes, trail mix, and larabars? Are you still having a drink(s) several times a week?

Times to make some changes.

Why work so hard not to reap the benefits of a leaner you? A fantastic by-product of eating well is also increased recovery time and decreased inflammation.

CrossFit is a comprehensive program – exercise AND nutrition. Get real with yourself. Transition to a healthier LIFESTYLE…don't look at good nutrition as a "diet."

Speaking of changing lifestlye…it's the 60th birthday of one of our most-transformed members, someone who has completely grasped the Paleo diet, someone who is consistent in his workouts and is one of the most all-around awesome persons we know. HAPPY BIRTHDAY ROGER!!!

    Pretty ironic the article mentioned sitting in a bar watching football and drinking beer all day with the start of preseason football tonight. Also the start of the most challenging time of the year to stay fit.

    Happiest of birthdays Rodg! You look mighty fine for 60 young man 🙂 PS: Thanks Diane. Elliot’s gymnastic tricks are crazy good. I am just trying to keep up. I did win this little handstand walk challenge but its only because I started yelling at him so he would fall.

    Thank you to everyone at CrossFit, and especially to Rob and Wendy. We are all better physically as well as mentally because of it. Sally has benefited greatly and it’s wonderful to see Brad and Amanda’s transformation, and so many others, especially the 7am ers.

  5. Regarding the diet post, here is a recent success story:
    Joe and Rizza’s nephew, Justin, came to visit them for about two months this summer (maybe a little less). He started CrossFit and Joe and Rizza introduced him to Paleo. They kept him on track and he chose his cheats wisely (and sometimes regretted them because he felt like crap afterwards). Anyway, he is headed back home to Amsterdam today 20 lbs lighter!
    He completely changed his life this summer. He looks like a different person.
