The Open

The CrossFit Open season is almost here! For those of you who are newer to CrossFit, The Open is the worldwide competition, conducted at CrossFit affiliates worldwide, that determines who goes to Regionals. A live Regionals event then determines who will compete at the CrossFit Games (or in the event of Masters athletes, a Qualifier Weekend will take place in May at CrossFit gyms).

The Open spans five weeks, one event per week. At CrossFit Vero Beach, we hold Open workouts on Saturdays, provide judges and validate scores online. Anyone can compete in the Open and last year, we had 54 athletes who committed. It’s fun to see how you stack up in your region, age group and gym.

Registration begins January 15. New this year are divisions: Rx, Scaled and Teen.

Like last year, the Open workouts will be announced on Thursday night each week and you will have until Monday evening to submit your score. Dates for each workout are below.

Feb. 26-March 30, 2015
15.1: Feb. 26 -March 2
15.2: March 5-9
15.3: March 12-16
15.4: March 19-23
15.5: March 26-30
