Workout of the Day:

Three rounds for time of:
10 Muscle-ups
10 Forward rolls 
20 One legged squats, alternating
Handstand walk 20 yards

  1. So that is what I look like upside down.
    I had a blast rowing this morning watching the 6:00 crew go through this workout. The highlights were as follows:
    Rob busted through the muscleups like it he was taking a Sunday Stroll. Kelly K was right behind him.
    Rob started his forward rolls and was brought back to a time when his mom wished he was a girl and put him in gymnastics class.
    Rob moves steadily through the pistols and starts his handstandwalks. They looked good to start, then started looking like partial handstand/solo wheelbarrows. But hey, he got it done.
    Kelly was quite the forward roller then moved through his pistols and went to the handstand walks. Now, Kelly has the most enjoyable spectator HSW that I have ever seen. Picture a handstand, then taking as many steps as he could to only lower his body as he lost balance into the pushup position. It was like an inverted burpee/break dancing. It is actually very impressive as far as core strength goes to even do that.
    Here comes Danny…. While the others had a hard time with the handstand walks, Danny gets into the handstand position and walks the entire 1/2 without fail. Pauses a second and walks back. It was pretty spectacular.
    This pretty much happened for 3 rounds. I would highly recommend this workout as a spectator event and give this WOD 4.5 stars.

    Don’t take this one for granted….it’s a good WOD and definitely can bring out some your weaknesses. I am now on a mission to do walking handstands.

    So, I’m definitely unhappy that I couldn’t drag my sore muscles out of bed this AM to see this. I hope I get to see something similiar this afternoon. I just tried to walk on my hands and it was very unsuccessful. This should be interesting. I should suit up like the football players ont his one.
