Don’t be “Most People”

Did your parents ever tell you, "If your friends jumped off a bridge/cliff, would you?”

It turns out your parents were right! You shouldn’t be doing what most everyone else does.

Success - in health, career, relationships - is about doing the things others aren’t willing to do.

  • Most people (75% of Americans) aren’t meeting physical activity guidelines set by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, according to a study the agency released.
  • Most people (81% of the US population) don’t have a gym membership.
  • Most people (67%of Americans, according to USA Today) have gym memberships that go completely unused.
  • Most people (80% of Americans) visit a fast-food restaurant once a month.
  • Most people (88% of Americans) reportedly lose sleep due to binge-watching television (American Academy of Sleep Medicine, 2019).
  • The average American spends 151 minutes on social media per day. (Reports on this vary, so I chose the lesser number out of the reports I read).

Don’t be "most people."
