Next Phase

As our current German Body Composition training phase comes to a close, we have been planning, testing, and developing our next six-week phase that launches next week.

Here are the focus points:

Much of our strength training will be executed in what we are calling a ”Ladder Add Sequence.” Strength movements will be programmed in a ladder fashion, moving from more complex to simpler movements with minimal rest. You should feel a similar stimulus to the GBC circuits.

We will continue to incorporate Olympic lifting, in the absence of fatigue. This new phase will put more emphasis than the GBC phase on the snatch, clean, and jerk and we will increase percentages over time. We will also implement the power lifts to build strength.

Accessory and bodybuilding exercises will be used to reinforce proper movement patterns and strengthening. Several days will bring classic gymnastics progressions and drills.

Aerobic work will center on longer pieces, pacing drills, and tests. Wednesdays will typically start with a shorter, intense test.

As you can see, we are still making movement mechanics, strength and technique a priority, it will just be presented in a fresh, new way.
